UAB Students, Faculty, Alumni and Fans,

Although we may have lost the initial battle to save UAB Football, we are not quitting.

We are re-purposing the site to achieve three primary goals:

1. Make changes to the UAB administration that will foster honest and good-faith communications with students, faculty, alumni and other UAB stakeholders and prevent future backroom decisions that adversely affect the University community and all of Birmingham.

2. Change UAB’s governance as it pertains to the University of Alabama Board of Trustees. This may involve either restructuring the existing BoT so it more fairly represents UAH and UAB, or establishing a new and separate governance structure for UAB to achieve greater independence.

3. Reinstate Division I football at UAB, along with a commitment to work with the Birmingham business community, city and county leaders to build a sustainable and successful program with an on campus stadium.

In the last few weeks, the UAB community has never stood taller or been more united. Please know that your voices have been heard and your support has been appreciated by everyone from Coach Clark and Blazer football players to prominent business leaders across Birmingham and the state.

We’ll continue to provide updates and work towards the goals stated above, but we will continue to need your support: attending events, sending letters and emails, calling political leaders and continuing to make your voice heard on social media.

Many of you have asked if there is a way to financially support our efforts. Below is a link to a PayPal account where you can donate to the UAB Football Foundation. Your donations and your support are greatly appreciated in helping to achieve our goals.
